Riding Trails & Camping @ Shel-Clair

Horse Riding Trails

We are open year-round, sunrise to sunset, for horseback riding. Bring your horse and enjoy 12 miles of well-marked trails over 1,000 acres of our farm.

Meander through woodlands, pasture land, crop fields, and rolling hills with beautiful views. Our trails are great for beginners, but challenging enough to be interesting for more experienced riders.

Along the way, you’ll likely see some of our friendly residents—the rabbits, ducks, deer, and wild turkey.  (Shh! Don’t tell the cows; they think they’re the only ones here.)  We also recommend stopping for a picnic along the peaceful stream.

Primitive Camping

Primitive camping sites are also available. Ride in or drive in to the sites. Campers have access to our 8-acre lake filled with bass and bream and all the trails.

Rates

  • Trail Riding: $10 per rider per day

  • Camping: $10 per site per night

  • Weekend packages and charity event packages are also available.

Day riders should park near the silo and use the honesty box for payment. Coggins required. Call Randy at 205-965-0264 for more information.
